Now Is The Time to Protect Your Ocean!
An initiative by Clean Ocean Action (COA), an ocean advocacy organization based in Sandy Hook, NJ, the “Clean Ocean Zone” (COZ) is a proposal asking the federal government to lock in the progress we’ve made in keeping the New York – New Jersey Bight (pictured at right –>) free of pollution. If established, the “Clean Ocean Zone” would be the nation’s first pollution-free ocean area where oil and gas production, new sewage and pollution sources, and other harmful industrial uses of the ocean would be locked out.
